Here’s a guest mix from Fulgeance of Musique Large for Cosmopolyphonic’s 10th podcast. Promo material for his upcoming Low Club tour in Japan, click HERE for more info on tour dates.
Devonwho of Klipm0de just dropped another bangin’ mix for Vibes and Stuff (lol, awesome name). Definitely some gnarly tracks on here I’d never heard before. Kid’s gonna be huge in 2010, watch your six.
WHOA – I knew Autechre was releasing another album, but I figured it’d just be more of the same “intelligent” electornic music (i.e – incomprehendable, psychotic noises), but does this mix for FACT mean they’re going in a more hip-hop-oriented direction? I remember seeing them back in 10th grade and having no idea what the hell happened to my brain after I got out of the show. There was hardly a beat to follow the entire time, but the noises they created were so awesome that I still vividly remember the whole show to this day. This mix has me really stoked for the new release.
New mini-mix of experimental beats from Alpha Pup and Brainfeeder’s 19th-century-wannabe Daedelus. Plenty of brain-twisting step sequencing on his trademark midi controller, the Monome. Click HERE for more info on his upcoming tour dates w/ fellow sonic pioneer Nosaj Thing
Here’s three freebies from Brainfeeder’s fearless leader Flying Lotus. All 320s for yall DJs out there. Click HERE for more info on his forthcoming release.
…and for those who haven’t checked the megapost, make sure to grab every other non-commercial live set/mix from man at the forefront of this movement RIGHT HERE
Really dope beat tape from Hungarian producer Hidden of Hangos Zona. One of the more original takes on the whole post-dilla sound I’ve heard lately, and I really dig the acapella’s he uses. Big ups to You’ll Soon Know for tipping everyone off to this heat.
Been slacking on a couple free releases I’ve grabbed over the past week, here’s a 4-track EP from Pixelord out of Russia. Plenty of 8-bit blips, bleeps, and stuttering beats for all the videogame-hop fans. Courtesy of Error Broadcast.
We are glad to welcome a new artist to the fam. Pixelord a.k.a. Alexey Devaynin hails from the frost-bitten streets of Moscow, and he brings forth a mixture of spliffed-out 8bit riddims, stumbling Hip Hop beats and a pinch of Euro Dance glam.
